To access our Graduate/undergraduate applications please apply via the following link: http://www.grantthornton.gtios.com
Your application will be reviewed by a member of HR within approximately two weeks.
At Grant Thornton, we use tests as part of our selection process. If your application
successfully passes the application form stage, you will be asked to sit two
on-line aptitude tests (numerical and verbal reasoning). These tests
will take approximately 20 minutes each. If you have never completed any numerical
or verbal tests before, then you can familiar yourself and get some practice
in advance by visiting http://www.psl.co.uk/psl_practestarea.html for some
examples and advice related to taking such tests.
If you pass the tests you will then either be invited to a telephone interview
or attend a structured HR and line manager interview at one of your preferred
office locations. The type of initial interview will vary by size of location
and larger offices will often
conduct a telephone interview first. A telephone interview will typically last
30 minutes.
Structured interviews with HR and line managers focus on:
- Motivation to Accountancy
- Drive
- Credibility and Communication
- Commercial Awareness
- Teamwork and Leadership
- Intellect and Judgement
- Organisation
You may wish to use examples from university, work experience, leisure or extra curricular activities.
The last stage of the process will be an interview with a Partner. Please note
that the Firm will ask all candidates who are offered employment to resit their
aptitude tests prior to joining.
